It took all the courage to try meeting her first love and “greatest what if”. The long years of waiting to see those eyes again, weeks spent being undecided due to family’s objection and hours occured being excited and tensed was finally over. Seconds just ticked until she finally retreated, bid goodbye and stepped back. It led her to accept the fact that the past has already turned back to them. The most painful part, she never thought that would be as cold as ice. Seemed like there was a great wall in between. It was so unreachable that she coudn’t take a grasp. What they’ve been before was incomparable. Pain has already took everything away. They’ve grown enough.
If we will be choosing which of these two hurts the most.. Doing something and wishing you had not or doing nothing and wishing you had, many will not think twice to choose both. Hearts are often broken with things left undone, things that should not be done, words spoken and words left unspoken. Its not easy. There’s no way you’ll not be beaten by the curse of pain but let’s face it. We’re not perfect.
There is no such thing as perfect relationship. Misunderstanding occurs and miscommunication happens which sometimes lead to alarming silence. Silence means a lot in every situation. Deep silence in every relationships either within family or friendship has deeper reasons and sometimes does not demand an explanation. They say, it’s either someone doesn’t truly care anymore or just pretending to be unaffected but deep down inside it really hurts.
We will never know unless we give it a try to find out why. When we found the answer, the only thing we should do is to accept the truth and what has happened, let go, be better and be thankful for those people who walked through our lives. God bless us!
She should be giving this but failed to do so.
